Jeremy Corbyn, leader of the Labour Party, said: “I am pleased to welcome Karl Turner to the Shadow Transport team. With his strong family connections to the shipping industry, and as MP for a key maritime constituency, I know he will be a strong addition to the team.”
Karl Turner, Labour’s new Shadow Transport Minister, said: “I am delighted to join the Shadow Transport team led by Andy McDonald. Coming from a city that is crying out for better transport investment and with a strong shipping heritage I know all too well the challenges that our country faces when it comes to transport. I look forward to getting stuck in and taking on the Tories”
